Our Mission
Worthy Stables is a non-profit equestrian center created to enhance the lives of exceptional people through equine assisted activities. As a PATH International Member Center, we endeavor to provide the highest standard of safety and education in our exciting and important industry and to promote excellence in horsemanship as we do so.
The programs offered by Worthy Stables are varied and always growing. It is our desire for anyone interested to have the opportunity to explore the benefits and joy that horses bring into our lives. If you aren't sure where you or your child would fit in, contact us! We would love to present some options. Our greatest hope is that we can share our horses, staff, and facility with you and your family!
A therapeutic horsemanship group for women who have experienced sexual assault or trauma.
With a great desire for inclusion and diversity, Worthy Stables created the EE program for riders and clients with exceptionalities that may limit them from participating in some recreation activities. This includes people requiring ambulatory devices for mobility, children with ADHD, ODD, OCD or other behavioral challenges, survivors of trauma or domestic violence, and others.
BADGES AND CAMP-OUTS
For Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Heritage Girls, Campfire Girls, and other young people groups, we can host a day of hands-on learning to fulfill merit or skill badge requirements.
9 week classes for homeschoolers to fulfill an elective in horsemanship.
Boots on the Ground is Worthy Stables entry level program for veterans dealing with post-trauma difficulties, re-entry into civilian life, and physical limitations due to combat related injury. After BOTG, veterans can progress into intermediate and advanced riding programs for veterans: Battle Buddy and WarHorse.
SUMMER DAY-CAMP
For younger children who would like a summer filled with learning, centered around equestrian activities.
STABLE MOMENTS
An EFL (equine facilitated learning) (also called EEL, equine experiential learning) program in which children in foster care get one on one mentoring, while learning important life skills through a relationship with a horse.
